I was aware of this months ago, but Weatherflow sent along another e mail blast about this:

      https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/weatherflow-smart-weather-stations?mc_cid=6334ed88f7&mc_eid=ae0a3fd3d3#/

Could this be the affordable solution to our wind meter needs at some of our local spots?  They state that YES, we can publish our data directly to Weatherflow websites (and the monetary gain of Weatherflow as a result can be discussed later)

      Check it out.

Gotta have a wifi network to put them on, so any local spot would have to have a RWS-friendly host that would allow the sensors on their network. If that were a public network, it shouldn’t be a problem, but if a secure network I would think the host would have some concerns about how secure these things are. I mean, if geeks can hi-jack your Jeep, can they get onto your home computer through one of these? Solution would be to have a hidden network, but now you’re beginning to ask a lot from the wifi host. Not saying it won’t work, just noting some barriers…
