On April 30, 2007, the RWS Website hit the water, and since then has gone through three updates and three discussion forums to get where it is now. This last April Rochester Windsports joined Facebook because well…why not, and it’s about time. My vision is that the website and Facebook pages will compliment each other and bring more of our local content to more people. All new posts on the RWS Homepage should now auto post to the RWS Facebook page. Recent updates are a couple of new photo galleries, a video, and session reports on the forum. Visit, and Like Rochester Windsports.
Mid September kites and windsurfers at the newly upgraded Geneva waterfront as well as Kids windsurfing on Canandaigua. Autumn wind machine revving up. Visit the Photo page to take a look.
The good vids keep coming from Doug C. Some nice swell riding, a few rolls, and some explosive crashes capture in HD. Check it out
Doug C. rigged up his kite line GoPro and captured brilliantly sunny footage of some post frontal NW wind sailing at Sodus Point. Way to get it crew!
Late notice on this one, but the folks at Paddle-N-More on Cayuga Lake are leading free instruction in Taughannock State Park July 15-17th. http://www.fingerlakespaddlefest.net/#
Kitenerd Dougie has rigged up a POV camera on his kite lines and produced a nice vid that is a good kickoff to the season. Great perspective on his turns. Check it out!
