GoFoil Maliko 280 for sale. Located in Tonawanda, NY. Nearly new condition. $550. These are $800 new if you can even find one as they are no longer being produced and there are only a few shops that still have them. Excellent foil wing for maximum lift, riding small waves in light wind. This is the most recent construction which is much, much…[Read more]

89L Starboard Kombat for sale
Great board, excellent condition, superb wave board > B&J board. Gybes on a wave face like it’s got autopilot. Good for B&J too, it just takes more commitment in the gybes. I’m “upgrading” to a Goya quad-fin 89L.
Several fins available to go with it. Light wear and tear after almost 15 years of use, but no…[Read more]

I have a very nice 460mm 100% carbon SDM mast and 7.0 m^2 Ezzy sail. The sail is older 2009 but in excellent shape. Also have Chinook mast extension and US base that go along with the rig. Don’t have a boom I want to get rid of at this point. Text me at 585-474-9926 if interested.

Hi,
I’m looking to buy a used mast and boom. Saw some online but not local, and shipping is very expensive, so I thought to give this a try. If you have some old equipment accumulating dust, I’ll be happy to give it a good home.
1. 460 SDM/RDM mast. 40% carbon or more
2. Large SDM/RDM boom. 220 cm or moreThank you,
Yotam

Happy spring everyone!
I’ve decided to get ready for the warmer months by fixing up my lightwind board, an old Starboard Go 170L. I purchased it second-hand a few years back, and the bottom showed signs of being a bit careless when loading/unloading, dragging over rocks, etc. Looking at it carefully at the end of the season last year showed that…[Read more]

I’m usually sailing on our club’s Exocet Sting 134L board and looking for something similar.
Thanks again, Yotam

Will do the same, I always have my eyes on Craigslist within a ~200 mile radius; it’s how I got most of my equipment.
What’s your skill level – looking for more beginner/intermediate oriented equipment, or more fragile light-wind type stuff?

Coming from the perspective of a Rochester resident who hasn’t tried foiling yet:
On any given day when I’m out on Canandaigua, it seems that I’m the only one not on a windfoil or wingfoil. On any of the Finger Lakes it’s best to wait for a wind mostly out of the south if you’re attempting to sail at the north end of the lake. Anything east or…[Read more]

Not sure what discipline of foil you are learning. Kite is the most limited because you need a lot of area to launch the kite. But windfoil and wingfoil have pretty good access. I live in Buffalo and learned to windfoil last season with my wife. The Buffalo Harbor was a good spot. But also, Seneca Lake and Lake Ontario were great. Lake Ontario has…[Read more]

Finding the ideal conditions seems impossible as a beginner. Wind too light on the fingers or not enough downwind bail and walk points with all the private land. Too much swell in the greats with nice wind! Then depth is also an issue in some spots. Where are your recommendations for a beginner setting out to foil?
