Gus and I pulled off a last minute Hatteras trip April 15-18, and Hatteras did not disappoint. I was glad Gus had extra kites, because every kite I own was too big, and I had to ride on his old 7m Turbo3. I’m sure many of you saw the forecast, which looked like this for 5 straight days:
Yes, that blue dot was me 🙂 I brought the GoPro this time, and while there were no epic shots, we did find some decent flatwater by Frisco Woods despite the high wind. I have a link to the video below if your interested. As always, can’t wait to go back.

Just returned from OBX. Pilot Bob and I missed the blow out week but had two days of 6m downwinders along with a few 12m days. Highlight of the trip was when my tent blew out from high winds and soaked my sleeping bag after a front passed through. We were eating at a diner in Buxton when I spotted Ameen in the parking lot. We also had a nice downwinder with the syracuse crew who came to Frisco.
