So here’s the video I was trying to post the other day, let’s see if I can post it. It’s an oldie, but goodie. I posted it long ago on the “old” RWS site, but thought it should be on the new site because this video is so uplifting. The producer really “gets” wind sports.

        Fun video!

But it’s not quite fixed yet, my post with pictures is still sitting in the queue to be approved…

      Hi Mark,

I’ve been trying to figure out your issue with creating a topic and getting it to post.  I have limited ability to dig into much, and didn’t really do anything to help Geoff out….it just worked.  I have check all of your settings beginning with verifying you are an actual member of the site/forum, which you are (thanks).  somehow a couple people have been able to post on the site without joining, which they should not be able to do.

      You are “ozziemark”, correct?

I don’t have any moderating/approval settings on forum posts so I am not sure about the message you are getting.  Is it possible for you to copy and paste the post you created?  It may require you to add the photo’s again though.  The only other thing I can suggest if trying again fresh or copying, is to join again under a new name.  That’s a hassle and I am sorry for that if it comes to it.  If you have to go that route we may need to delete your old account if you need to use the same e mail to sign up.  hopefully not…..maybe you have a different e mail, or it won be an issue.

Sorry for the issues, your voice is important here…..bear with me.

        Doug,

Thanks for digging into it. I primarily browse on my phone, I’ll check on the desktop to see if there’s something simple I’m overlooking. Hopefully will be able to copy and paste the text of the old post!

By the way, Wednesday looks like it’s shaping up to be a decent west wind, you guys have plans to get out? I’ll most likely do my best to get down to Canandaigua again in a timely fashion and catch some of the fun!

        Mark

        edit: yes, I’m “ozzimark” 🙂

      Sure Mark, no problem.

I’m not sure if you noticed, but the website was down for about 36 hours as a result of an update gone bad.  Tech support to the rescue, and we are back.

The mobile phone piece may be something for me to look into.  The website should be fully responsive though.

Depending on where you live, the west is rideable at Montana Beach or Fairhaven on Lake O.  Webster Park used to be a launch but the recent high water events (and resulting rip rap installed) have pretty much destroyed it as a safe launch.

Canandaigua and Seneca are both sailable on a west as well.  ‘Daigua will be a bit gusty as it is pretty narrow, and Seneca will be better than that.

Depending on what happens later on Wednesday it may still have enough south in it to get out in the WSW at Long Pond.
