So, we arrived in Hatteras on our first day and stopped at the grocery store on the way to the house. I looked down the beverage isle and saw my daughter walking toward me with a man crouched low behind her like he is hiding from us. What is going on I thought? Well, some of you probably already guessed who it was….JIM KING….lol. Great to see him. Awesome trip!!! 75 and sunny almost every day with 5 days of wind.

I jest.  Looks like he rode in the OBX Wind event again this year.  Craig Brown too.  I’d love to get a take on it here.

OBX Wind long distance event started out Great , but soon became impossible to keep up any speed due to the lack of wind way out in the sound (two and a half miles to the marker where even waterstarts were questionable)…..After completing first leg of compitition , I made the SMART decision to return to shore. I was dissapointed but felt a bit better about it after seeing such as Tyson Poor and others did the same thing due to lack of sufficient wind. It was still a great event and I will always enjoy my trophy and winning in one of the biggest turn outs for this event in 2018. Hopefully this years event ( Cancelled this Spring due to the ” Virus ” ) will happen in October in WINDY Conditions . Would also be great if they would offer a WAVE Challenge in the SURF ! Maybe even a ” BIG AIR ” Event….Now that would be in my ballpark and fun to watch!  GO BIG OR GO HOME !

Lol…hahaha…that made me laugh. Yeah, Troy also raced and did quite well even with an injured foot in the second race. I think he was in the top 30 overall.

No way.  Sorry I overlooked him.  Troy is a fast sailor!  I have a couple pics of him at Hamburg last summer that have his wake dancing with white water right out of the frame.

      Way to go Troy!

Also, glad you laughed.  Kinger being Kinger.
