Every place I kited had the same conditions: A sandbar 1/4 to 1/2 mile offshore with onshore wind that made for really flat water with mile long reaches. Near bouy is not as well anchored, you could end up chasing your kite. Probably catch it unless its really windy 🙂 There are no carabiners on the bouys, bring your own.
