Yeah was pretty much same in Erie pa. I think you had worse.hail was ripping skin off our faces.but you are right heavy precipitation with a big blow grooms it clean!pretty neat to get thrown a bone in such adverse conditions.got a couple hours.ride on!

If your referring to the Edmund Fitzgerald and disaster session wind at buffalo last Sunday last Sunday was a fucking light wind joke compared to the day the Big Fitz went down!!!nice video good perspective but not even close to Nov.10,1974!!!i,m a fucking old man now was on the water that day 19years old slept in a duck blind that nite was blowing so hard could not leave presque isle in boat to return to Erie.last Sunday it was only blowing on eastern Lake Erie sailors in Erie could not go with 8.0,s while we were enjoying 3.5@4.0 wind down near buffalo.nov.10 1974 there were storm warnings@ Gale warnings on all 5 Great Lakes at the same time it was such a massive weather system!!!just sayin!

Yes I believe you must been on a wave that big!we were up in Hamburg and enjoyed some big ,fun ,challenging conditions as well !was logo high on the big ones!

Geoff, thanks for your kind words about Debbie, she’s still charging wind and waves.  Sailed the other day at Hamburg with Joe and Bill she was on her 3.0 and 68ltr. Goya quad.  Man o man you guys had incredible wind all day yesterday. I got to get more on the ball and join you guys at Seneca.  Hardly ever sail in Erie anymore doesn’t blow like it used too! I got 37 days in Hamburg this year so far use 5.0 or 4.5 there in Erie they will use 6.2 and 7.0!!  Windy season is just starting, hope to get many more days on the water yet in 2016! joe
